TENT FOR LAGOPUS
The tent is adapted for use with the LAGOPUS S and B chair-hides.
It is made of waterproof 150D "oxford" polyester, combining lightness and sturdiness. The tent is covered with an isothermal induction which lowers the temperature several degrees when the tent is exposed to the sun, and retains heat in winter. The isothermal induction also makes the tent lightproof, offering complete darkness inside and avoids shadows being seen through the fabric.
The tent comes in a carrying bag.
Patterns: realistic undergrowth
Period of use: all year round
Dimensions: fits both models of LAGOPUS S and B chair-hide.
Tragopan has developed a new realistic undergrowth pattern, incorporating elements of green vegetation, more suitable for wildlife photography through all four seasons.
The standard window system of the other Tragopan tents is used for the front of the tent, ensuring a perfect seal and discretion.
To prevent water from running down the windows, we have added a flap that covers the entire opening from the outside. This flap opens and closes via a cord system that is operated silently from inside the tent.
The various sleeves and windows can be changed silently via small clips.
Attachment of the tent to the chair is very simple. The tent is placed on over of the roof of the chair without the need for any fasteners. With the door closed, you use the pegs provided to stake down the four corners of the tent, leaving enough room for your feet and possibly a backpack on one side of the chair. You then open the door on the front side of the tent and sit down in the chair, positioning the camera on a tripod in front of you. The door is then closed and the telephoto lens is extended through the shooting window. On each side of the front and back of the tent there are 6 tensioning cords, which can be tightened to prevent the tent from flapping in the wind. This ensures that the tent is held together perfectly and has a less geometric shape.
The tent has 4 cords on the outside to attach various camouflage elements: branches, leaves, reeds, etc.
It has a single door, which opens and closes from the inside and the outside with a thick and silent zip.
The front of the tent is also the door and has the following layout and modularity configuration:
- a zipped tripod opening
- a main rectangular modular shooting opening to which an opaque sleeve, a net sleeve or a net flap with a central slit can be attached (all supplied with the blind)
- the shutter that covers the main shooting window has a small surveillance sleeve at head height that opens and closes via a cord equipped with a tightener. The flap opens and closes from the inside via a cord system with a tightener.
- Above the shooting window there is a large surveillance strip with a flap that can be opened and closed from the inside by means of a cord system. The surveillance strip has a semi-transparent net that can be completely unzipped. This window offers a way of observing what is going on in front of the blind.
Both sides of the tent have opportunistic shooting windows, equipped with a flap that can be closed and opened from the inside by means of a cord system. These windows have a semi-transparent net with a slit in the middle that allows a telephoto lens to pass through. This net can be completely unzipped.
The LAGOPUS tent is supplied with the following sleeve:
- a rectangular opaque sleeve with an integrated zipped window for flash or to be used as a small window. The sleeve is fixed with small clips. You can buy more sleeves separately here.
The blind is also supplied with 4 pegs.
